| Batesburg-Leesville Primary and the B-L and Twin City Rotary Clubs will present "Got Book?" on Tuesday, January 31 at 6 p.m. in the BLPS cafeteria. An art show will also be held from 5-7 p.m. and a spaghetti supper sponsored by the school's PTO will be held in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30 p.m. |

WELCOME to my first grade web page. My name is Mrs. Taylor and this is the thirty-sixth year that I have taught in Lexington County District Three. All of those years except five have been in first grade. I believe that first grade is the best grade in the best school – Batesburg-Leesville Primary School.
I strongly believe that every child is capable of learning and my goal is to make that learning relevant and meaningful. Literacy will be a primary focus in our classroom this year as we address the standards. Please be sure that you read with your child everyday!
You will be receiving pages that will comprise a class handbook when all the sheets are sent home. It will contain all the important information about our class. There will also be a link on this site under ALL ABOUT OUR CLASS, “Class Handbook.” that will contain the handbook in its entirety. If you have other questions or concerns that have not been addressed, please call me here at school (803-532-4452, ext. 104) at anytime. MEDIA CENTER We go to media every other week on Friday. (Week B begins on August 29th and continues every other week.) Please be sure that your child returns his/her library book prior to that day so that new books can be checked out! THANKS HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY in August to P.E. REMINDERWe go to P.E. on Wednesday. Mrs.Bounknight requires that your child wear some sort of athletic shoes on that day.
